Job Description:
- We are looking for a Program Manager. This position will be full-time and remote contract opportunity.
What You'll Do:
- Managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects
- Developing program strategy
- Supporting business case and various enterprise-wide high-level project plans
- Ensuring integration of projects and adjusting project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of Commerce
- Communicating with IT leadership, Commerce leadership, and IT Business to communicate program strategy, direction, and changes
- Delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget, and meeting the strategic and business requirements
- Tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers
- Partnering with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of Commerce
- Coordinating communication with all areas of Commerce that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed
- Coordinating status reports and stability of project area work efforts
What You'll Need Required:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or other related field/equivalent work experience
- A minimum of ten (10) years of IT and business/industry work experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience
- A minimum of five (5) years in managing projects
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with IT and project management as it pertains to program areas such as reemployment services and/or community development or equivalent governmental program
- Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
