Job Description:

  • We are looking for a Program Manager. This position will be full-time and remote contract opportunity.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects
  • Developing program strategy
  • Supporting business case and various enterprise-wide high-level project plans
  • Ensuring integration of projects and adjusting project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of Commerce
  • Communicating with IT leadership, Commerce leadership, and IT Business to communicate program strategy, direction, and changes
  • Delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget, and meeting the strategic and business requirements
  • Tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers
  • Partnering with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of Commerce
  • Coordinating communication with all areas of Commerce that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed
  • Coordinating status reports and stability of project area work efforts

 

What You'll Need Required:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or other related field/equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of IT and business/industry work experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years in managing projects
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with IT and project management as it pertains to program areas such as reemployment services and/or community development or equivalent governmental program
  • Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
