Key Responsibilities

 

Program Planning & Execution: Develop a detailed program plan that covers the entire lifecycle of the core banking system implementation, including project scoping, timeline, resource planning, and budgeting.

Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including IT teams, banking operations, third-party vendors, and senior management, to ensure alignment on program goals and expectations.

Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional project team comprising IT professionals, business analysts, and external consultants. Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and manage performance.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues early, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on timelines, cost, and quality.

Vendor Management: Oversee vendor selection and contract negotiation processes. Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and ensure that services are delivered according to SLAs.

Change Management: Collaborate with the change management team to ensure the smooth transition of banking operations to the new system. Facilitate user training, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Budget Control: Manage program budgets, ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively, and that spending is aligned with forecasts.

Quality Assurance: Implement and manage testing phases, including functional, performance, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the system meets business and technical requirements.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the new core banking system adheres to all applicable regulatory standards and internal policies, working closely with compliance and audit teams.

Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to executive leadership on program status, key milestones, risks, and decisions. Prepare executive-level presentations and program dashboards.

Post-Implementation Support: Lead the program through post-implementation review and ensure that all technical and operational issues are addressed promptly.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Romanian language speaking is a must required language skill

  

Experience: 

 

 Minimum 12-17 years of experience in program/project management, within Banking Financial Services

 Demonstrated experience managing core banking system implementations -Temenos 24 Or any Implementations

 Strong background in IT infrastructure and digital transformation projects.

Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or a similar project management certification preferred.

Temenos Implementation – TLC Certification.

 

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong understanding of core banking processes and systems.

Solid knowledge of project management software (MS Project, Jira, etc.).

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance in banking.
