Job Description:
This is a Field Planner role on the client side of a transformational project which includes the retirement of the existing coal-fueled units; installation of new natural gas-fueled electricity generating units capable of utilizing hydrogen for 840 megawatts net generation output; and modernization of a Transmission System to Southern California. This role is specific to the substation and converter station portion of the project which will be located in Adelanto, California.
This professional will be on site full time in approximately in Adelanto, CA. Experience in schedule and earned value is required. This position will is not planned to have any direct reports. Occasional travel to the other project site in Delta, Utah may be required.
Per Diem of (USD)125/day (7days/week) is available for professionals greater than 50 miles from the site.
Senior level planning/scheduling position competently performs all aspects of planning/scheduling and field project assignments according to training, capability and experience. Provides some guidance to less experienced project personnel. Acts in capacity of a lead person. Demonstrates the capability of leading the project control function of a project and able to influence internal and external clients. Lead facilitator of project forecasts. Recognizes issues and advises project team on matters affecting project execution. Leads project controls scheduling efforts in plan and schedule preparation. Ensures constructability is part of planning process. Applies in key cost control processes. Ensures systems are in place to know work status and identify issues proactively. Interfaces with management team to identify issues.
