Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead MIT-Internal Logistics projects and work with cross-functional groups. Reporting to the Internal Logistics Manager, the person in this role will support the MIT-Internal Logistics department's objective to optimize the Toyota North America supply chain by balancing the requirements of External Logistics, Production Engineering Planning and Manufacturing Groups to develop the most efficient internal delivery process.
What You’ll Be Doing
Learn and become SME for our tool “Flowgen” (Flow rack generator), while working with Engineering groups and North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMC) departments to troubleshoot and improve parts flow issues related to new model management.
Collaborate directly with NAMC departments and Pilot Engineers to confirm process requirements, tool development and system compliance requirements.
Main Role for this position will be to learn FlowGen and become the SME; as well as teach this tool across the region. Will also be required to learn Flexsim to be the primary back up for simulation across the region.
Creating and updating training documentation, as well as sending out periodic updates to the region of key performance indicators to end users.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering ; or equivalent professional work experience
Capable in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
Willingness to travel 75%+ domestically and internationally- Canada and Mexico
Proficiency with Excel, Excel Macros, & Microsoft Access Database
Experience in flow rack design
AutoCAD layout design experience
Experience with parts lists and bill of materials
Experience with system simulations
Experience with block coding languages or C++
Bachelor's degree
