Job Title: Project manager

Role Description: This contracted position reports directly to the Director of Protective Services and assists with the management of the protective services grants.  This position plays a critical role in ensuring that grants are administered in accordance with contract terms, reporting requirements are met, and all deliverables are completed in accordance with the terms of the grant(s). 

The objectives of this position will be met by: organizing and managing the grants awarded to the Protective Services Office; ensuring timely and accurate invoicing; and monitoring outcomes and task completion for each grant.  This position confirms that grant deliverables are complete and timely, reporting requirements are met, and the grants are administered in accordance with contract terms.  

Job duties and Responsibilities:
•    Outline each steps necessary to meet the approved grant deliverables and ensure all completed. 
•    Coordinate with other bureaus and outside agencies to ensure that the grant is properly administered and each deliverable is accomplished in a complete and timely manner. 
•    Provide the Director of Protective Services with weekly status reports on grant projects and activities.
•    Develop monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual grant reports to meet state and federal reporting requirements. Submit all drafts to the Driector of Protective Services for review.  Submit all reports as per terms of the grant(s). 
•    Keep abreast of project management and federal best practices for grants and develop strategies to implement those practices with the Department of Aging. 
•    Provide guidance and technical assistance to Director of Protective Services, Protective Services staff, Quality Assurance staff, and other Commonwealth agencies on grant standards and implementation.
•    Assist with the development, standardization, implementation, and maintenance of current or potential grant opportunities.
•    Serve as a representative for the Protective Services Office at internal and external workgroups and committees.
•    Provide information and recommendations regarding all Protective Services Office grants and funding opportunities.
•    Assist in grant development of applications for all funding opportunities that involve protective services, data management, or quality assurance.
•    Manage day-to-day grant operational needs such as:
o    Effectively communicate project requirements, expectations, and progress to the project team in a timely and clear manner
o    Work collaboratively with other departments for the acquisition of information necessary to complete the project deliverables
o    Delegate tasks and responsibilities when appropriate to project team participants
o    Identify and resolve issues and conflicts 
o    Track and monitor project milestones and objectives through review, evaluation, and analysis of program and budgetary data port status and progress
o    Develop, analyze, and troubleshoot project schedules to ensure all due dates are met or exceeded
o    Provide weekly project status reports and progress reports to the Director of Protective Services.
•    Current proposed end date will be September 2022.  This is the ending date for the ACL COVID – 19 Grant however extensions may be needed. 
•    Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week Monday through Friday
•    Location – Harrisburg Office
