Summary

  • This is a Firearms IT Modernization Project that requires Organizational Change Management. The DOJ built and operates seventeen (17) Firearms IT Systems.
  • These systems support education, regulation, and enforcement actions regarding the manufacturing, sale, ownership, safety training, and transfer of firearms.
  • The current systems and architecture are in attrition. 
  • Therefore, this FITSM development framework will provide a path to enable DOJ to respond to changing business needs and legislative mandates efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
  • State of California projects, performing project management tasks in support of IT projects involving the integration of multiple systems, system interfaces and development of new system interfaces.
  • A cross-functional project team is defined as various groups of individuals responsible for modifying and enhancing systems designed and developed using differing software languages, tools, frameworks, and architectures, coupled with individuals assigned to support various IT domains, all of whom must collaborate to achieve a common goal.
  • leading remote team members. Remote team members are defined as individuals that are allowed to work from home or an alternate location.
  • California Project Management Framework (CA-PMF), IT concepts, practices, and principles to provide a foundation for technology-related work with emphasis on the systems development life cycle (SDLC), including planning, designing, developing, testing, and deployment.
  • Acting as liaison between the business and the technical teams in large-scale systems development and integration projects.
  • coordinating and gathering analysis information, researching methodologies, technical writing, legislative report writing, and planning the enhancement of a system experience.

Qualifications

  • Valid Project Management Professional from PMI,
  • Resource has experience researching, analysing, and summarizing legislation to ensure policies reflect the statutes correctly.
  • Resource has experience and knowledge working on firearms or similar projects through legislation, policy, or mandates.
