Project Manager

Pierre, SD 57501 (Need Locals - Should be able to come onsite to attend meetings)

24 months Contract with possibility to extension

Client is seeking a qualified individual to provide project management surrounding the implementation of recommendations made in the gap analysis. Duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Manage a communication plan with the internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, providing regular contact on project status and changes
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the project work plan
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of proven working experience in project management
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of formal project management practices and methodologies
  • Prior experience working with the child welfare system is also a plus
