Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Finance Program/Project Manager to join the Corporate IT Portfolio Management group, within our IT Strategy, Planning and Operation organisation. The IT Program/Project Manager will be responsible for driving large, complex, high-value strategic projects and programs with a heavy technical component to them, through the application of Waterfall and Agile Project Management best practice, tools, and techniques. Duties • Project Planning and Execution o Lead Initiation, Planning, Execution and Close phases of projects o Ensure robust project planning, including working with sr. leadership and cross functional teams to assess project options and scenarios, and develop mitigation plans o Provide leadership, coordination, and cross-functional communication to ensure achievement of project goals and timelines o Coordination of cross functional Project Resources and activities. • Communication and Stakeholder Management o Identify and engage appropriate stakeholders, manage expectations, and drive conflict resolution o Responsible for preparing and managing the project Communication Plan and leading communications with key stakeholders as well as broader group of stakeholders beyond the program team o Provide primary programmatic support not only to large stakeholder community but also support and collaborate with Business leads and other department program & project managers o Ensure Steering Committee and stakeholders remain informed of project progress and any risks that may affect project outcomes o Ensure stakeholders understand the impact of changes introduced by the project o Present to program steering committees making detailed, prioritized recommendations, facilitating discussions, and driving decision making • Risk Management o Managing project level risks and issues, taking corrective actions, and raising awareness at Program and Portfolio level o Developing regular risk assessments and risk mitigations plans Timely escalation and resolution of complex issues • Management Reporting o Project level management reporting, including milestone tracking, forecasts, risks, issues, and overall project RAG status Project Management – 50% • Management of full technology development lifecycle including: o Scope management o Schedule Management o Change Management and Impact Analysis o Communications Management o Risk and Issue Management o Vendor Delivery Management o Procurement Management (provide support to Procurement Management team to fulfil deliverables) • Manage vendor and cross-functional team dependencies for product development and integrations to meet initiative objectives • Maintain project and/or program tracking and work breakdown structures • Understand, advocate, and communicate business unit objectives, goals, vision and strategy to team to enable application/technology solutions that contribute towards achieving value • Ability to recognize and mitigate conflict and problems with project, product and team resources and apply escalation appropriately • Environment/Project coordination (balancing multiple project delivery dates with environment constraints) • Ensure that application processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies, and applicable standards. • Manage development initiatives with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization in a socially and compliant manner. • Support action plans where necessary to improve Business Unit satisfaction levels. • Provide inputs to scheduled progress reporting which includes comparing forecasts to actuals (budgets, schedules, scope, etc) • Support Resource Manager in recruiting which includes interviewing, hiring and onboarding • Ensure all approvals are captured as required through the development lifecycle • Scrum Master – 50% o Ensures a minimum a two sprints worth of user stories are ready in the team backlog o Sprint planning and tracking  Agile tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)  Manage story progression in lifecycle (wall status within a sprint)  Burndown  Velocity  Capacity planning  Release planning o Facilitate the daily stand-up meetings o Facilitate the sprint planning meetings o Facilitate the sprint demo reviews o Facilitate sprint retrospective Skills • A minimum of 7+ years of Project/Program Management experience • Demonstrated depth of Finance knowledge and business acumen obtained from previous experience of project and programs • Demonstrated experience delivering Corporate ERP projects/programs, Oracle Cloud preferred • Expertise in one or more project management Agile methodologies. • Facilitating daily stand-up meetings, demo reviews, retrospectives, and sprint planning • Demonstrated capability to work on several projects simultaneously with cross functional team’s and resources • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people, and projects simultaneously. • Demonstrated experience delivering Corporate Oracle ERP projects/programs, Oracle Cloud preferred • Proactive mindset, can adapt easily to a changing environment, excellent in time management • Ability to form and maintaining solid working relationship at all levels of the organization • Practical and hands-on approach to delivering outcomes • Great communication and cross-team collaboration skills Education • A Bachelor or Masters STEM Degree; Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field. • Project Management qualifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified Scrum Master), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified) etc., preferred.
