Mandatory qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working on large scale IT infrastructure projects in a lead or project management role.
  • Basic Computer setup and networking knowledge.
  • Demonstrated management experience in planning for, or implementing, IT Infrastructure solutions.
  • Must be fluent in English both oral and written.
  • This is a hands-on (roll up your sleeve) role that requires onsite presence in increasing frequency toward implementation time.
  • Ability to take lead in an ambiguous, changing/reactionary priorities environment.
  • Able to efficiently prioritize and structure clear and unclear workloads.
  • Open to rolling up your sleeves, applying subject matter understanding and to dive into the details to uncover optimal solutions to application design, implementation and hand-over sustain problems.
  • Effective communication skills, and ability to interact with internal and external partners.
  • Experienced in end user interaction including requirement elicitation, analysis, and solution design.


This role is to coordinate, oversee, provision, and verify the implementation of Wired, Wireless and DAS .This will include the following tasks:
 

  • Oversee risk, issue, and scope change management processes related to the deliverables the deliverables.
  • Report project status and progress at scheduled points to the IMIT Project Director and IT Delivery Manager.


Wired: Oversee the onsite installation and provisioning of wired network.
 

  • Work to configure and package switches for deployment in TRs.
  • Acts as main contact and coordinator for switch port assignment process between the cabling contractor and network engineers.
  • Investigate and clarify requirements for VLAN for devices in-scope.
  • Work with vendors for WAN connectivity and Voice gateway connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and manage issues relevant to network connectivity.
  • Wired network scope may include Fiber connectivity, VOIP, CATV, WAN, Core switches and Edge switches.


Preferences:

  • Previous experience and working knowledge of Fraser Health processes, is preferred.
  • Subject matter understanding in Division 27 systems.
  • Formal project management training or certification.
  • Experience working on Design-Build construction projects.
  • Experience working on redevelopment projects in healthcare.
  • Experience working with healthcare users.
