Project Manager

Job Description:
The Client is seeking a Senior IT Technical Project Manager to manage and deliver complex IT projects with multiple teams and work streams coordinated to an aggressive delivery schedule. The project manager is responsible for the successful completion of the assigned projects and leads the team through the Commonwealth Standard for Project Management across all project phases: Preselect, Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closeout.
Qualifications:
Certification: Candidate must have a PMP certification through PMI or PM certification from the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA).
Onsite Requirement: Must be able to work onsite 3-4 days per week.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of project experience in IT infrastructure delivery, network and server infrastructure, cloud implementations, and vendor management.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with network technologies (switches, firewalls, circuits, etc.), standards, and practices.
Project Management: Experience managing projects involving Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, OS upgrades, networking, software installs, vulnerability remediation, etc.).
Project Complexity: Experience managing large, multi-stream projects.
Methodologies: Experience in various software development methodologies, with a preference for Agile.
Background Check: Position requires a fingerprint-based background check.
Required Skills:
PMP certification through PMI or PM certification from VITA.
Preferred experience with Agile methodologies.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, identity access management, risk management, SIEM, and SaaS.
Experience managing large, multi-stream, and complex projects through all project phases.
