Role: Junior Project Manager (EHR PMO)

Location : Remote/Durham, NC Locals

Duration: 12+ months contract

 

The Client is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the Electronic Health Record Program Management Office and lead projects.

Seeking two Junior Project Managers sought to support the Program Management Office for a build project for the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities.

 

Expected Skills: Able to manage simple to medium complexity work efforts, with Health IT and EHR experience.

 

Description (including, but not limited to):

1. Responsibility for the successful completion of end-to-end project work, including all work products, especially those defined by the PMI’s PMBOK and DHHS & State PM Methodology

2. Oversight of projects comprised of multiple deliverables, including delegation and coordination of tasks

3. Responsibility for creation and management of the integrated program-level and individual project plans, execution of the project plan, status, meetings, scope changes, risk and issue tracking/mitigation/resolution, coordination across project teams, etc.

4. Negotiations internal and external to the project teams

5. Managing scope, resources, timelines, costs/budget, quality, communication, and procurements to meet the goals of the State

6. Development and execution of training and education on standard project management requirements and methods, facilitating project governance and reporting, and creating models to improve business decisions

7. Develop program level status reports, briefings, policies and procedures.

 

Required/Desired Skills:

  • Electronic Health Record system implementation experience.
  • Health information technology experience.
  • Project management experience, preferably with small to medium complex automation implementation efforts involving vendor management.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience for deployment of new application/information systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering IT projects within budget, scope and schedule.
  • Objective decision-making ability based on strategic objectives priority, business performance analysis and resource availability.
  • Hands on experience managing project risk, cost, schedule, quality, testing, and communications.
  • Business Analysis experience.
  • Strong supervision, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation, training skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid work experience with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project).
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • State Government experience.
  • PMI certification Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience managing or supervising legacy Healthcare related system replacement projects.
