JOB DESCRIPTION:
Required: Strong PM skills are a must.
Preferred:
Strong experience in Risk Management & MS Project skills, and Conflict Management is a plus.
General Project Lifecycle management is key, the client doesn't specify a particular PM methodology.
There is no software development projects, most projects are infrastructure and security technology related efforts for this account.
The PM1 must be a self-starter. Also, the ability to gather both business and technical requirements are critical skills for successful PMs on this account.
Position Overview:
*** Manage a hardware refresh and asset management project (Ready Works install) for 2000 desktop/laptops across the sites 5 days on-site in the Groton and New London Connecticut client locations
The Project Manager is responsible for structuring and leading a variety of IT projects, performing the detailed proposal and scope planning, and managing project execution and completion of moderate to large projects.
The Project Manager defines the phase deliverables, tracks milestones and incurred expenses versus planned expenses, schedule management, testing, training, and implementation plans, evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans.
Assigns resources and tasks, and manages quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews and reporting, and compliance with all policies and procedures and support artifacts.
Leads a group of technical resources and other IT technical staff and where necessary, collaborates with the business domain and business subject matter experts, relying on experience and solid communication skills to plan and accomplish goals.
