Job Description:

  • Develop project schedules and effort required to complete tasks. Drive all assigned tasks by bringing in all the stake holders and scheduling updates. Periodic report sent out prior customer meeting and address actions.
  • Maintain, drive, and provide support to team to ensure circuits designed per customer specifications and standards. Act as a key contact with customers and supervise every phase of the project from start to completion.
  • Good at front ending customers, understanding their requirements, and translating these requirements to technical tasks for the offshore team.
  • Co-ordinate between the onsite customer & offshore delivery team.
  • Deep technical background in embedded electronic product design, understand system architecture and optimize analog, digital controller/processor-based circuits, and power circuits.
  • Understand the existing circuit operational performance and & design enhancements in microprocessors, microcontrollers, memories, FPGAs, peripheral interfaces and displays.
  • Experience in product design, circuit optimization, power estimation and complete product development lifecycle. Analyze components to determine operation and operating parameters.
  • Conversion from thru hole to surface mount components 0805, 0603 to 0402 where possible.
  • Knowledge of Obsolescence management. Should be able to review the obsolescence reports and solutions for electronic components. Analyze PCN analysis, Life cycle management, ROHS compliance update and obsolescence issues.
  • Oversee PCB layout tasks containing analog, digital, power supply subsystems, technical calculations of voltage ratings, current ratings, power dissipation as part of alternate identification and evaluating derating guidelines.
  • Review legacy conversion from OrCAD schematic and PADS layout to Altium designer, layer mapping, schematic clean-up includes analog, digital, power supply and high speed / differential pair type boards & provide suggestions as necessary.
  • Printed circuit board design experience in tools OrCAD, PADS, Altium and Gerber viewer.
  • Review output files and validate schematic print, layout design, assembly drawing, drill drawing, test points. Reviewing, and addressing design constraints, electrical, thermal, mechanical, and manufacturing issues.

Good to have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry or related industry.
  • Should be able to manage a team overseas and get work done.
