Project Manager

Position Description: We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Payments API development and support team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Merchant Payment System Architecture and have a proven track record in integrating merchant acquirers and payment gateways. This role requires hands-on experience with merchant acquirer APIs, Chip & Pin systems, Point of Sale (POS), Tokenization, and Encryption technologies. Responsibilities: Lead the Payments API development and support team, providing guidance and mentorship to team members. Architect and design Merchant Payment Systems, ensuring seamless integration with merchant acquirers and payment gateways. Integrate merchant acquirer APIs into our payment infrastructure to facilitate secure and efficient transactions. Implement and maintain Chip & Pin systems, POS deployments, Tokenization, and Encryption technologies. Ensure compliance with Payments industry standards, including PCI requirements, to safeguard sensitive payment data. Communicate effectively with senior architects and technical managers to align payment solutions with business objectives. Manage the full SDLC process, from requirements gathering to production support, utilizing DevOps practices for continuous improvement. Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective defect resolutions to enhance system reliability and performance. Qualifications: Proven experience in Payments API development and support, with a focus on merchant payment systems. Extensive knowledge of integrating merchant acquirers and payment gateways, including hands-on experience with merchant acquirer APIs. Familiarity with Chip & Pin systems, Point of Sale (POS) technologies, Tokenization, and Encryption. Understanding of Payments industry standards, particularly PCI compliance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience managing the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system design, development, and production support. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Familiarity with Springboot and the Java stack is a plus. Exposure to the FreedomPay Gateway and/or the travel and hospitality industry is desirable
