Job Description:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years’ experience with at least 3 years of managing projects.
• Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum preferred.
• Experience with project management tools, software delivery, and understanding of technology concepts.
• Experience working in highly cross-functional role, with multiple technologies.
• Experience managing project budgets.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of project management, SDLC methodologies tools.
• Deep knowledge of the principles and methods for planning and managing project initiatives.
• Knowledge of systems life cycle management and methods and tools for risk mitigation.
• Ability to make well-informed and objective decisions and ability to perceive the impact and implications of decisions by leveraging fundamental prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to be open to change and new information, adapt behavior or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles and to effectively deal with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
• Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
• Ability to be a focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
• Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update initiative charter, project plan, milestone/stage gate requirements, resource plan, and other documentation.
• Work with multiple stakeholder groups and technical teams to ensure project goals, objectives, and outcomes are aligned.
• Address resource gaps as necessary and proactively escalate and resolve concerns.
• Ensure objectives align with stakeholder goals and strategy.
• Maintain feedback loop with key stakeholders to identify and implement initiative adjustments required to deliver increased business value. 
• Implement stakeholder recommendations largely independently and communicates relevant feedback to team.
• Begin to build long-term, strategic relationships with Carrix IT and / or Tideworks stakeholders and leadership.
• Leverage business and technical knowledge related to each initiative to drive increased business value.
• Optimize day-to-day operational aspects of one or multiple initiatives or agile teams.
• Identify and coordinate dependencies on other initiatives.
• Contribute and drive the development of delivery standards and tools.
• Removes potential roadblocks from the path of the initiative team by negotiating conflicts and resolving issues.
• Develop or contribute to communication plans and ensure communication effectiveness.
• Measure value delivered by initiatives, ensure value is realized, and identify opportunities to deliver increased value across initiatives.
• Aggregate and report on milestones or velocity burn and provides updates to stakeholders.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis of initiative budget/effort discrepancies and identifies mitigating actions for the future.
• Partner cross-functionally with teams to ensure development of cost estimates and project billing Analyze and prioritizes risks across initiatives and assesses potential impact.
• Foster a conducive working environment for initiative team.
• Leverage team building techniques to quickly bring new team(s) together.
• Understand and promote adoption of new delivery practices.
• Understands and influences stakeholder mindsets and proposes new solutions.
