Job Description: 

Scope of Work:

DSS is seeking three qualified individuals to provide full-time project management for two DSS program areas: Medical Services (1 position) and Child Support (2 positions). DSS may select candidates from one or more vendor proposals.

Activities include but are not limited to:

· Lead a team of business and data analysts to oversee the design, development, and implementation of various information system transformation projects.

· Provide strategic direction to the agency.

· Assists with defining strategic direction of enterprise level IT implementations.

· Define business and technological requirements, consults with product owner, subject matter experts, and scrum teams to define business needs and objectives.

· Provides project management of highly complex large scale enterprise IT projects and smaller scale projects.

· Lead and coordinate efforts of development team and vendors to ensure solutions are implemented successfully.

· Ensures project governance and monitoring controls are in place.

· Responsible to ensure project design, development, and implementation are on time and budget.

· Mentor state personnel in project management and over time potentially train state resources to take over this function.

Qualified candidates should have the following skills and experience:

· Successful experience managing information technology solutions.

· PMP certification or equivalent working experience.

· Knowledge of various software development methodologies (agile, waterfall, DevOps, etc.)

· Experience in successfully applying project management and project governance principles.
