Role: Project Manager
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 12+ Months
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field or equivalent work experience. Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required.
Seven years of experience in information systems development.
Seven years of experience in using Microsoft Project or similar project management software to track and maintain projects.
Seven years of experience in developing detailed project documentation.
Seven years of experience with change management procedures.
Seven years of experience with information security and risk management standards.
Seven years of experience with managing a mix of local/virtual teams.
Seven years of experience with agile methods and techniques.
Five years of experience with management and facilitation of external stakeholder groups.
Five years of grant development and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create, assign, track and monitor project team activities, and required reporting documents, using approved software tools, as assigned by the Department.
Create a project management portfolio, (ex. Project plans, task lists, risk assessments, issue documents, governance documents) with the Department’s Bureau of Emergency Operations and HIPAS information technology team to standardize collection and storage of EMS incident level data as assigned by the Department.
Conduct/participate in status meetings, project team meetings, stakeholder meetings, Joint applications requirement (JAR), and Joint Application Design/Development (JAD) sessions, presentations or other meetings as assigned by the Department.
Develop, using MS Word, Excel, Project or other software and provide updates, with current task status, project plans and reports as directed by the Department.
Communicate either in meetings, verbally, via emails and written formats) with project teams and stakeholders.
Perform research, and analysis to produce project documents and briefings as assigned by the Department.
Perform procedural support for the Bureau as directed by the Department.
Produce and submit detailed accounting of hours worked by tasks performed weekly
