Job Title: Project Manager with Workday (PRISM)
Location: Augusta, ME(Remote) 
Duration: 12 Months 

Job Description: 

•   The Project Management Office supports a broad portfolio of the client's strategic initiatives, supporting agencies under the Executive Branch. As a member of the Project Management Team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of internal/external business and IT partners and be accountable for leading project teams in achieving their deliverable goals on time with a high level of quality.
•   The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of a project, from impact assessment to implementation. This position is responsible for applying appropriate knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to manage medium to large projects. Project activities include, but are not limited to, establishing clear and achievable objectives, planning and directing people to reach objectives while balancing competing demands for quality, scope, time, and cost, and adapting to different concerns and expectations of stakeholders. A professional project manager should be able to manage a project without extensive knowledge of the subject matter. This position is responsible for mentoring others and contributing to the continual improvement of project management knowledge and skills in the organization.
•   This position will be responsible for ensuring all data migration efforts are planned, tracked, and successfully completed. It will be expected to work with the Enterprise Data Services team and Prism Project Management.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
 
•   Prior Experience managing large Data Validation, Data Warehouse, and Data Visualization projects
•   Experience with Organizational Change Management 
•   PMP Certification is a plus
•   IT experience with state governments is a plus.

Project Management:

•   Utilizes strong project management skills.
•   Identifies project stakeholders and manages communication with the project stakeholders.
•   Follows project standards for issue management, risk management, and timely delivery of initiative results.
•   Direct resources on assigned project tasks and ensure project roles and responsibilities clarity.
•   Provide regular updates on assigned data efforts to the Prism Project Manager
•   Manages data quality through activities such as conducting appropriate reviews, obtaining approvals, and taking corrective action when necessary.
•   Ensures that project documentation is complete and current.
•   Data Migration Project Management
•   Understand and guide the entire implementation. Manage the overall plan for the data track of work.
•   Work closely with and align to the project schedule set forth by SOM
•   Ensure alignments and progress against tenant and data migration milestones set by the PRISM Project
•   Works with agency partners and data owners to ensure data validations occur on schedule and data cleansing is maintained
•   Provides day-to-day management of Project Data expectations.
•   Identifies and monitors the mitigation of risks to the scope, schedule, and budget for the data track of work.

Data Warehouse Project Management:

•   Through a thorough understanding of business data reporting and analytics needs, guide the implementation of Prism data to the SOM Data Warehouse and OACS. Manage the overall plan for the data warehouse track of work.
•   Work closely with and align to the project schedule set forth by SOM 
•   Ensure alignments and progress against data warehouse development and load migration milestones set by the PRISM Project
•   Works with the SOM Enterprise Data Services team and the Prism Reporting workstream resources to ensure data mapping and loads occur on schedule
•   Provides day-to-day management of Project Data Warehouse expectations
•   Identifies and monitors the mitigation of risks to the scope, schedule, and budget for the data warehouse track of work.
•   Working with SOM EDS resources
•   Define and plan work needed to build warehouse structures required to support Prism data
•   Plan and monitor the effort to develop criteria that support decision-making for reports available from the Data Warehouse vs. Workday directly
•   Identify, confirm, and plan the development of the Data Warehouse “MVP” scope
•   Monitor and manage the development of MVP scope.
•   Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with five years of project management experience.
•   Demonstrated experience managing large, complex technology initiatives involving multiple subgroups or teams.
•   In depth knowledge/understanding of the PMI methodology and a broad understanding/awareness of SDLC methodologies.
•   Strong ability to work effectively in a business and technical environment.
•   Effectively uses technical project management tools.
•   Strong initiative and ability to set stretch goals.
•   Strong ability to negotiate effectively with vendor, business and IT partners on business requirements and timeframes on initiatives.
•   Strong ability to rally support among peers and work effectively within challenging situations.
•   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to balance the need to gather detail with the need to solve the problem
•   Ability to escalate issues that may affect timelines and ability to provide suggestions for logical solutions.

•   Advanced PC skills required (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
