Project/Program Manager

JOB ROLE:
Job Title: Project/Program Manager
Location: Pontiac, IL, Day One On-Site
Direct Client: Caterpillar
Experience: 10+ years 

Overview: 
•                Stormwater Pollution Prevention
•                Following EHS assurance manuals
•                Incident investigations
•                Completing ergonomic risk assessments
•                Working closely with medical team for incident investigations
•                Monthly metrics and follow-ups for safety and sustainability

Typical Work Day:
•           Assisting with previous day's incidents
•           Determining root causes with section managers
•           Using online incident management system
•           Conducting new hire safety training
•           Daily activities vary based on incidents
•           No travel involved
•           Work schedules: 6:00 to 2:30 or 7:00 to 3:30
•           No remote work

Qualifications and Requirements:
•           Environmental health and safety (EHS) experience required
•           Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
•           Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
•           Strong communication skills
•           College education in related field preferred

Interview Details:
•           Initial interviews conducted by Kevin
•           Possibly on Teams initially

Additional Technology Skills:
•           No specific requirements beyond Microsoft Office
•           Knowledge of incident investigations, EPA regulations, Title 5, air permitting, wastewater treatment, stormwater inspections beneficial
•           Minimum requirement: EHS education
•           Experience preferred but not strictly required
•           Senior EHS specialist is a common job title
•           Industrial background is acceptable
•           Potential for contract extension
•           Skills: EHS degree, incident investigation experience, regulatory knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency

Education and Experience:
•           Masters degree not required, but preferred experience in EHS field
•           Well-rounded candidates preferred due to small EHS team
