Senior Golang/Python/Cloud Engineer

100% Remote

6 month Contract with possibility to extension

Description:
Work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc)? 9am-5pm
Please provide a summary of the project/initiative that this candidate will be working on? Public Cloud Network security perimeter
Please describe the team the candidate will be working with - how many members? 5-8 direct team members
What is the break-down of the teams skill sets (ex: 1 PM 4 Developers etc.)? 5-7 engineers, one product owner
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)?
- Public cloud platform feature development
- Work w/ security team to define public cloud platform security requirements
- Product support for development teams using public cloud
- Operations and maintenance on public cloud account management platform
What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)?
-Heavy public cloud usage/expertise
-Distributed Systems experience
-Building platforms, a plus

What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)?
- 7+ years of experience developing, testing, and deploying software in production systems
- 3+ years of software development experience with either Golang or Python
- 3+ years of experience developing public cloud workloads in either Azure, AWS, or GCP
- 2+ years of experience maintaining and developing distributed systems

What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)? Public cloud, Golang or Python, Distributed System experience
What will the interview process look like? (Video phone or in person? How many rounds? How technical will the interviews be?) 2 rounds, 1 overview- one technical. Both Video/remote
What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)? Heavy public cloud usage/expertise and distributed systems experience

Required Skills:

7+ years of experience developing, testing, and deploying software in production systems

3+ years of software development experience with either Golang or Python

3+ years of experience developing public cloud workloads in either Azure, AWS, or GCP

2+ years of experience maintaining and developing distributed systems
