QA Engineer

Technical/Functional Skills

Extensive "hands-on" experience where applicable with:

Relational database concepts, SQL queries

Basic unix commands

Software testing tools such as Cucumber, LoadRunner, Postman, RestClient, SoapUI

Ability to understand complex system architectures as applied to QA goals

Experience Required

5+ years' experience with back-end web testing and writing automated test scripts

Knowledge of most of the following technologies/ tools (or equivalents): Java, JUnit, JMeter, LoadRunner, Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, Fish Eye).

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide an automated testing solution. Creates and manages test strategies for complex test assignments

Provide a well-defined and representative automated test environment.

Continually research and improve our automated testing practices

Work closely with the other members of team automating testing within the core build / continuous-integration lifecycle

Provides summary and analysis of test results, including metrics as/when applicable, and designs additional metrics as required.

Work closely with other members of development helping them with load testing efforts.

Generic Managerial Skills

Experience and maturity : Senior Automation Testers, with good exposure to Core Java, Selenium, Agile processes and can work in customer facing roles.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (Master's Degree preferred)
