Overview of Role:
The Quality Assurance engineer with focus on manual testing of the product
Design and create test scripts to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios,
regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation
Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen(s) or content
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs,
schedules or potential problems.
Submit defects with repeatable steps and analyzing defects to ascertain sources and nature of
defects.
Communicate with Quality Assurance (QA), Development, and ADP business partner staff to ensure
that testing/quality issues are documented, tested, and applied to established software product
development timelines and deadlines.
Provide stakeholders with timely status updates and applicable QA metrics throughout the SDLC
Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs in both structured and open styles of testing
Required Skills:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience testing web-based applications
Experience with regression testing, smoke testing, data validation testing, test case creation, and Jira
Experience operating in an Agile/Scrum environment
An understanding of software QA Methodologies, tools and processes
An associate or bachelor's degree
