Job Title: QA Tester
Location: Hybrid – Atlanta, GA
Experience: 5+ years
Duration: Initial contract through the end of the fiscal year, with renewal anticipated in July.

Job Overview:
We're seeking a skilled QA Tester to join our team supporting the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). You’ll play a key role in testing custom applications, including GIS components, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful execution of the test lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for custom applications.
• Perform both manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of test cases.
• Conduct regression testing, system testing, UAT support, and defect management using tools like TFS/JIRA.
• Collaborate with business analysts, PMO, and technical teams to ensure the software meets business requirements.
• Participate in Agile development cycles and defect triage meetings.
• Ensure quality assurance standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in software development project testing.
• Strong understanding of test automation, test strategy, and test execution.
• Experience with tools like GitHub, ServiceNow, TFS, and JIRA.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies in Agile environments.
• Ability to analyze system specifications, create test cases, and report results effectively.
• Experience with Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and UAT preparation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in GIS testing and public sector projects.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or CAST.
• Familiarity with SDLC and STLC best practices.
