Job Overview:
We're seeking a skilled QA Tester to join our team supporting the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). You’ll play a key role in testing custom applications, including GIS components, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful execution of the test lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for custom applications.
- Perform both manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of test cases.
- Conduct regression testing, system testing, UAT support, and defect management using tools like TFS/JIRA.
- Collaborate with business analysts, PMO, and technical teams to ensure the software meets business requirements.
- Participate in Agile development cycles and defect triage meetings.
- Ensure quality assurance standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in software development project testing.
- Strong understanding of test automation, test strategy, and test execution.
- Experience with tools like GitHub, ServiceNow, TFS, and JIRA.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies in Agile environments.
- Ability to analyze system specifications, create test cases, and report results effectively.
- Experience with Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and UAT preparation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in GIS testing and public sector projects.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or CAST.
- Familiarity with SDLC and STLC best practices.
