Required skills –
- 3 years’ experience preferred in quality.
- Automotive industry is preferred but OK to see candidates apart from the same if they have strong quality experience.
- Capable of using Vectorarm, FARO (portable measuring instrument), scanners, or similar portable CMM equipment.
- Strong Computer skills, including MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Job Description:
- 3 years’ experience preferred in quality
- Travel in percentage: 60% Travel required in USA, Mexico and Canada
- Checking body welding tooling and part accuracy using Vectorarm, Perceptron, & FARO portable CMM equipment.
- Gathering part information from Digital Engineering systems.
- Checking part quality using hand tools and quality checking fixtures.
- Supporting Sheetmetal Sub-assy. and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events.
- Troubleshooting equipment, tooling, parts and part fitting.
- Analyzing part and sub-assembly data and provide feedback to project leader(s).
Automotive Quality experience:
- Capable of using Vectorarm, FARO (portable measuring instrument), scanners, or similar portable CMM equipment.
- Strong Computer skills, including: MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Able to create and maintain schedules.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime. Mostly on Weekend. OT start 7 am to 4 pm, depends on the weekend. 50% overtime possibility.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work.
- Should have fundamental tools knowledge or experience so a Mechanical Engineering background would be great!
Additional Desired Qualifications, preferred but not required:
- Knowledge of DE tools related to Welding (3D Magic, PolyWorks, Catia)
- Knowledge of metrology, weld tooling design, weld tool fabrication, and CAD design experience.
