What is the scope of this role?

We are  looking to hire a Release Management Specialist to join our growing company. This position will be part of our Engineering department based in our Sao Paolo office in Brazil . The role will maximize the engagement metrics of Netcracker’s digital properties, as well as, the software release configurations according to Customers requirements for projects around the world. Role and responsibilities are:

1.  
   1. Point of Contact for Internal and External Release management activity, alignment of the installation plan with the customer and internal teams (Configuration / Environment support / Deployment Management / Solution delivery / Customer support).
   2. Preparation and delivery of code drops along with deployment instructions and Release Notes.
   3. Assist Change Management team with Change Requests and fixes, participate and/or host Change Approval Board (CAB) meeting.
   4. Manage the lifecycle of a change, from design until deployment the RM must deal with internal and external stakeholders associated with each specific change.
   5. Track components versions maintaining control of Netcracker and 3rd party software components included in the solution. Interacting with DevOps, Development, Support and Technical teams.
   6. Manage SW release deployment issues and coordinate troubleshooting tasks. Goes beyond any activity leading "lessons learnt" sessions.
   7. Perform automatization of manual operations as part of continuous improvement process.

What skills and experience will you need for this role?

• Previous experience within Release Management, Change Management or  Technical Lead role
• Experience with distributed Cloud deployments, CI/CD and CMDB
• Strong knowledge on tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Jira, Jenkins, Git, Remedy and Confluence.
• Strong IT experience with knowledge of the general processes of developing and branching strategy (commit, merge, resolve conflicts, etc).
• Knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration and development (CI/CD) tools
• Successful experience managing SW development life cycle projects
• Excellent communication and team building abilities;
• Fluent English - strong verbal/writing skills
• Have ownership of tasks, be responsible, careful and diligent.
• Availability to work from office on hybrid mode

Education:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
