Research Associate/ Microbiology Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities:
Nature of work
Microbiology laboratory bench work individually or in a team setting to accomplish daily lab tasks.

Responsibilities
• Cell enumeration and viability assays,
• Live microbe-based performance assays,
• Physical property assessment assays of formulated samples,
• Custom media preparation,
• Troubleshooting protocols when discrepancies arise,
• Keeping clear and organized result records,
• Collaborating with IFF team and contributing to result interpretations,
• Regular communications of results,
• Presenting results to team as needed.

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, or related Life Sciences area,
• Experience working with microorganisms,
• Experience in basic microbiology lab techniques,
• Attention to detail,
• Proactive problem-solving attitude,
• Self-motivation to learn and improve protocols,
• Excellent verbal and written communication,
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications,
• Excellent time management skills.
