Position: Resident Engineer - NSP (Nokia Service Platform) Subject Matter Expert - Richmond VA

Work Location : : Onsite with Customer, Richmond-VA, USA-23173

Duration: 12 Months, Extendable based on Nokia Requirement / Cloud and Network Services (BU-CNS)

Skill Sets and Requirements - Job Description:

Candidate will be required to work onsite with Nokia customer in Richmond VA
MUST be US citizen
MUST have medium to expert level engineer experience in the operational aspects of Nokia Network Service Platform (NSP)
Seeking Service Routing subject matter expert on Nokia NSP operations, knowledgeable on NOKIA 77xx Service Routing devices (Hardware/Software/Diagnostics) , will work onsite with Customer Teams to provide support and assistance.
• The Resident Engineer will work onsite, in Customer’s locations in Richmond VA. The Resident Engineer will interface with the local Customer Network Operations Center personnel.
• Supporting: Customer’s NOC Operations and Maintenance Engineering Staff to develop Operations Readiness
• Establish documented processes and procedures to improve NOC visibility to the EMS’s and associated Network Elements.
• Enhance the Client Outage Management and Notification processes.
• Define IP MPLS provisioning standards and develop a consistent process guideline to further reduce fault restoration timelines.
• Provide continued On-The-Job (OJK) Knowledge transfer to Client NOC personnel including:
NSP Role:
i. Proactively manage and troubleshoot the NSP environment for Production and LAB (Alarms
associated with the applications and the environments).
ii. Generate performance/analytics reports for NSP environment and its applications.
iii. Generate network and services capacity reports (MPLS, DWDM, Microwave, etc.)
iv. Provide technical consultation on the development of new “configurator” tool and maintain current
and updated tool versions for the duration of Term.
v. Generate “audit” reports against architecture standards.
vi. Develop process to automate user (Local Accounts) nodal password changes for MPLS, DWDM,
Microwaves NEs.
vii. Take lead in opening and managing the progression of Nokia TAC tickets associated with the NSP
environment and applications.
viii. Provide support for NSP software upgrades.
ix. Provide support for nodal software upgrades for MPLS, DWDM, Microwaves NEs.
x. Develop on-demand scripts to support various operational needs (e.g., adding “ip-mtu” to VPRN
interfaces).
xi. Provide knowledge transfer on NSP.
