ROMA Operation and Analytic Engineer

About the team: The WebEx Analytics Platform Team within Cisco manages the Data Analytics solution that delivers real-time business insights over a powerful and flexible infrastructure, allowing organizations to get value out of the data they need to be able to real-time analyze and visualization, enabling a deeper and richer understanding of data converge from multiple sources within an enterprise in real-time.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the design, automation, and deployment of the Real-time On Metric Analytic platform infrastructure
• On-boarding tenants, independently creating dashboards based on specific topics, and promptly addressing customer inquiries
• Collaboration and Communication with a global team - there can be a collaborative effort to achieve effective management of the ROMA cluster on a global scale
• Resolve high-priority operational issues and incidents

Skills & Experience Required

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science in addition to 5 years of work experience in the full life cycle development and integration of either distributed systems or data management platforms
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines and/or data analytics applications
• Experience with Data Exploration and Analysis and visualization tools and dashboards
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Pinot, Trino, Grafana
• Experience with DevOps automation (Ansible or equivalent, helm chart, data platform monitoring tools, and frameworks)
• Proficient in Java - the Real-time On Metric Analytic platform is java based open source solution, Java knowledge is required to implement customize, and maintain the platform
• Experience with Data Exploration and Analysis and visualization tools and dashboards
