Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain RPG programs on the AS/400 platform.
Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform troubleshooting and debugging of existing applications to resolve issues and enhance functionality.
Integrate AS/400 applications with other systems and platforms using APIs, RESTful, and SOAP services.
Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Document technical specifications, user guides, and other relevant materials.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and contribute to the company’s innovation.


Required Skills:

Proficient in RPG programming on the AS/400 platform.
Strong understanding of AS/400 system architecture and operations.
Experience with database design and management on the AS/400 platform.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with ION, INFOR XA, or MAPICS.


Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of SAP integration and functionalities.
Familiarity with APIs, including RESTful and SOAP services.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
