Ruby on Rails Developer

We have an immediate long term contract opportunity with one of our key clients for a position of Ruby on Rails Developer, to work on a Remote basis.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test application software, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Work across all layers of the technology stack to create robust and scalable solutions.
• Utilize expert-level programming skills in Ruby on Rails, as well as Java, MySQL, and other relevant technologies.
• Apply object-oriented design patterns and architectural standards to build efficient and maintainable applications.
• Analyze and interpret complex problems spanning multiple business areas, gathering and understanding requirements to develop alternative solutions.
• Implement automated testing practices to ensure code quality and stability.
• Integrate solutions with various internal and third-party applications, platforms, and technologies, including GQL/REST APIs, messaging systems, and ETL/data pipelines.

Skills:

• Strong experience in application design, development, and testing.
• Proficient in Ruby on Rails and expert-level programming skills across all layers of the technology stack.
• Understanding of object-oriented design patterns and application architecture standards.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, understand requirements, and develop effective solutions.
• Familiarity with automated testing practices and tools.
• Experience in integrating solutions with other applications, platforms, and technologies.
• Proficient in Java, MySQL, GQL/REST APIs, messaging systems, and ETL/data pipelines.
