Job Summary: The SAFe RTE is responsible for leading and facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART) processes and execution, ensuring successful delivery of value to customers. This role involves orchestrating and guiding multiple Agile teams, fostering collaboration, and removing impediments to maximize productivity and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Facilitate ART Planning: Organize and facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning events, ensuring alignment of priorities, dependencies, and objectives across multiple Agile teams.
  • Coach Agile Teams: Provide coaching and guidance to Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners on SAFe principles, practices, and ceremonies.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the ART, facilitating retrospectives, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing solutions.
  • Coordinate Dependencies: Identify and manage dependencies between Agile teams, programs, and external stakeholders, mitigating risks and ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Resolve Impediments: Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and obstacles hindering team progress, and fostering a collaborative environment conducive to high performance.
  • Monitor and Track Progress: Track ART progress, monitor key metrics, and report on delivery performance to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Product Management, Business Owners, and other stakeholders to align priorities, define objectives, and communicate progress and outcomes.
  • Support Agile Transformation: Support organizational Agile transformation initiatives, driving adoption of SAFe practices, principles, and culture across the organization.
  • Facilitate ART Events: Facilitate ART events, including Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops, System Demos, and other ceremonies, fostering alignment and collaboration.
  • Foster Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication among Agile teams, promoting a shared understanding of goals, priorities, and dependencies.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • SAFe RTE certification or equivalent Agile certification (e.g., CSM, CSPO).
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in Agile software development, with a focus on leading large-scale Agile initiatives.
  • Proven experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies, PI Planning, and Agile Release Train execution.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams towards achieving common goals.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles, SAFe framework, and Lean-Agile practices.
  • Experience in coaching Agile teams and driving Agile transformation initiatives within organizations.
