Job description:

  • Identify, anticipate, and act upon safety and environmental concerns, hazards, exposures, and unsafe practices.
  • Eliminate or minimize actual or potential hazardous situations.
  • Manage and lead the on-site ergonomics program.
  • Support the investigation and countermeasure implementation of safety incidents and accidents.
  • Guide and promote safe work performance.
  • Coordinate site activities that support a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Prepare and complete health and safety reports.
  • Participates and supports the regional Safety Management System.
  • Prepares and completes various environmental requirements and activities, including the coordination with Regional Client Environmental & Facilities’ standards.
  • Manage and support various facility safety and environmental inspection and audits: including necessary recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
  • Lead management and activities of site Safety Committee.
  • Perform various safety systems audits, review newly installed or modified equipment, approve/review Job Safety Analyses (JSA);
  • This role will also be the Safety lead for emergency evacuations and necessary shelter drills, in which you will collaborate with any onsite fire and security personnel.

 

Requirements:

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety or equivalent work experience, 1-3 years in manufacturing or logistical environment.
  • Critical thinking (kaizen), problem solving, and data analysis experience mindset and experience.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations.
  • Experience managing customer expectations to find mutually agreeable solutions.
  • Project Management skills and experience.
