About the role
What you'll do
● Design and develop solutions on Salesforce CPQ platform integrating with backend systems and working closely with our development,
QA, product team and Architects
● Analyze complex business and systems requirements and provide technical solutions to meet the business needs
● Partner with application and data developers on designs, models and best in class implementation
● Develop applications using the Force.com platform (Apex classes/triggers, VisualForce pages, etc related to Force.com platform
● Hands on experience of Salesforce CPQ/Steelbrick functionality including various featuresets like Product setup, Product Options, Product configuration & rules, Pricing, Discounting, Quote templates, Order management, Contract management and amendments
● Experience with design and implementing the CPQ Amendment and Renewal framework.
● Lead our agile development process with our team of Salesforce Business Analyst to design, test, and implement new features on CPQ Participate in peer reviewing and debugging existing source code
● Providing Tier 2 support for production issues, including fixes across platforms and on-call responsibilities working with production support team to ensure 24x7 availability of production systems
● Manage heavy workloads and projects, many on a time-sensitive basis while still maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
● Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce CPQ and SalesCloud architecture and API. 3+ years of CPQ development experience
● B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding
● Strong experience writing Visualforce, Lightning Component, Apex classes and trigger
● Salesforce Certified Platform Developer(I, II) certification strongly desired
● Experience with integrations such as: Salesforce CPQ, Apttus CLM, DocuSign, Dell Boomi, ZenDesk, Marketo, NetSuite, Tableau or other cloud business applications
● Excellent oral and written communication skills
Key things to be evaluated
- Technical Expertise: The candidate should be able to configure CPQ and other Admin functionalities (declarative) aligning with CPQ. They should be able to understand and explain the relationship between different objects which CPQ and Salesforce provides out of the box. They should have experience on configuration aspects for Subscription based products in CPQ. The developer should have development and custom built experience using a custom configurator.
System Design and Architecture: Experience in system design using various integration methods. Should be able to explain from their project experience about limitations of Salesforce CPQ and how they were solved. Provide examples of handling and designing error mechanisms with Salesforce CPQ with respect to Quoting and Ordering Process.
Problem-Solving Communication: Ability to communicate effectively during problem-solving processes, including sharing insights, proposing solutions, and discussing potential challenges. Experience: Real time project experience of at least one or two projects as a CPQ developer in B2B space and should be related to Salesforce CPQ and Quote to Order process. CPQ certification is desirable but not mandatory. Real world experience is highly desired. Minimum 2 years of CPQ
Development experience.
This experience should be outside the generic SFDC platform experience
