SAP Data Migration

Roles & Responsibilities

• The SAP BODS Data Migration Developer role is responsible for working in the Data Management team in various areas within the project life cycle to develop and deliver successful conversion of identified data objects from legacy systems.
• Should have experience in SAP Data Migration and be able to align the activities as per the Program / Data Migration Plan. 
• The SAP BODS Data Migration Developer is responsible for working closely with the Functional Data Conversion team to identify field mapping for the Data objects with the legacy Source system. He/she will be responsible for Data Extraction, Data Analysis, Data Construction and ETL activities during the project life cycle using the SAP BODS tool.
   

Requirements

• 6-10 years of relevant experience with SAP Data Migration (BODS).
• Hands-on experience with SAP BODS 4.3 SPS 12 & BODS 4.2 SPS14, preferably BODS 4.3
• Hands-on experience in Implementation & upgrade to S/4 HANA (1909 or 2020)
• Hands-on experience with Migration Cockpit, SAP RDM Template
• Hands-on experience with Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality & LTMC, LSMW, Idocs, etc.
• Provide technical/functional subject matter expertise and technical/functional clarification for SAP data objects and configuration in support of design sessions with related Process Teams to confirm functionality-driven data standards.
• Establish connectivity to legacy systems and develop and schedule ETL extraction jobs from legacy systems.
• Design, develop, unit test, and debug complex data conversion jobs and workflows using SAP Data Services, IDocs, LSMWs, etc.
• Work closely with the Functional Teams to identify and document the data objects' field mapping, transformation, and validation rules.
• Support the development of unit and end-to-end data migration test plans and test scripts (including testing for data extraction, transformation, data loading, and data validation).
• Promote code to data conversion environment (if applicable)
• Perform data load activities for each mock load, cutover simulation and production deployment identified in the plan into the environments identified.
• Provide technical support, defect management, and issue resolution during all testing cycles, including Mock Data Load cycles.
• Complete all necessary data migration documentation necessary to support system validation/compliance requirements.
• Participate in and support end-user training for SAP Data Conversion tools (e.g. Information Steward) and data conversion processes (e.g. Resolving data readiness errors, Mock data load validation activities).
• Provide technical support, defect management, and issue resolution during Production deployment and hypercare support.
