Title: SAP SAC BW Consultant

Location: Columbus, Ohio (Local Only-Onsite)
Contract
Technical Support:

• Supports Reporting Strategy (Technology and business side) documents by working with BW Lead.
• Helps/Recommends in Report Design and Development & assignment of reporting tool based on business requirements and technical constraints.
• Monitoring and extracting data from SAP ECC, SAP Ariba, SAP SF and legacy systems (using PI/PO)
• Real time reporting from SAP ECC or Ariba (of both Master & transaction Data) with BW as the reporting Tool using various BW tools.
• Real time reporting from ECC/Ariba using SAC as the reporting tool (Using either BW as staging layer or directly from ECC or Ariba)
• Review & provide feedback any BW technical upgrade impact due to SPs/CVEs/Hardware size etc.,
• Provide support/feedback/recommendation on reducing the complexity of BW footprint (data storage, Data source vs cubes etc.,)

Operational Support

• Support functional team members (BPO/SME/End Users) in Analyzing, tuning, and optimizing existing reports / queries and work with support team where required.
• Advise and assist BPOs/SMEs with SAP BW knowledge and supports in design to bring the business requirement concrete with proper solution.
• Review and advice AMS task related to incident, problem or other AMS requests and ensure completion/documentation/sharing of root cause analysis.
• Review & transform the functional specifications to technical specifications (by himself or via AMS) ensure that business requirements are transformed correctly in technical specs for BW development.
• Translates design specifications into tested components and ensure BW objects are tested properly.
• Specialization in supporting the daily operation (like daily monitoring jobs, reprocessing the jobs where failed, ensure the data validation) either by himself or through AMS support.
• To be a contact point between regional CoE/AMS/legacy member whenever technical conversation is required. (e.g. System outage plan)
• Have an experience in working in dual change management landscape and how the objects conflicts/review needs to be resolved must be known.
• Performance monitoring/fine tuning of all the types of objects in any GSAP Reporting tool.
• Awareness/understanding of using GRC for daily activities like FFIDs

Tools/Technical Expertise:

• Expert in SAP HANA Calc Views creation/maintain and update, as necessary.
• Knowledge of Odata, SDI and using flowgraphs along with those two.
• Complete understanding of authorization and security functionality around the above tools set to ensure Data and Object security to provide proper requirement to security team.
• Complete understanding of the provisioning methods (like using SAP GRC tool to auto provisioning the below tools) to end users or CoE users.
• Expert knowledge in various reporting tools (Like SAP BoBJ, SAP AO, SAP SAC, SAP BW, SAP DataSphere)
• Expertise in creation of dashboard/storyboard using wireframe on SAP SAC.
• Knowledge of SAP Solman/other monitoring tools

Communication/Training:

• Ensure proper training is provided on regular basis on various reporting tools (like BW, BOBJ, SAC or other identified tools sets) to Super-Users, BPO and SMEs.
• Involve the relevant stake holders well in advance for any reporting requirements and make sure to coordinate with them for getting their inputs before presenting the design to a bigger crowd in PMO
