Aarth is a strategic partner of Eccenca GmbH, a world leader in knowledge graph solutions based in Germany. As scala developer at Aarth you actively shape the advancement of our linked data integration solution. You are passionate about programming in Scala and Java and participating in research and client projects.

You will work in a small and highly collaborative team with our top clients in Europe in an offshore mode from our development center at Hyderabad.

Skill sets expected for the role

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Data Science

·         Working experience in either ontology or taxonomy building or enterprise data modelling

• Working experience in data / dataset and metadata management
• Working knowledge in relational and/or graph data query languages such as SQL, SPARQL, gremlin
• Demonstrable knowledge of and ability to apply metadata standards
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills combined with capacity for complex, detail-oriented work
• Familiarity with machine actionable languages, such as XML and RDF, linked data principles and standards as well as with the Semantic Web stack
• Experience in one or more programming / scripting languages
• Fluent business English a must
• High level of initiative and ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience in agile development. We use Kanban at Aarth.

·         Software development with state-of-the-art work tools include nodejs, yarn, gulp, webpack, ReactJS, RxJS, Jira, confluence, bamboo, gitlab and artifactory using the IT equipment of your choice

·         Strong experience in Scala

·         Data integration (Mapping, Record Linkage, Data Fusion)

·         Big data (Hadoop, Apache Spark)
