Description

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented WAF Support L1 Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide Level 1 support for our Web Application Firewall infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic security environment.

Responsibilities:

Incident Triage:
Monitor alerts from the Web Application Firewall and other security systems.
Perform initial analysis to identify and triage potential security incidents.
Issue Resolution:
Respond to Level 1 security incidents, following predefined procedures.
Provide initial support for incident resolution and escalate to higher-level support as necessary.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of security incidents, actions taken, and resolutions.
Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
Collaborate with other IT support teams to address and resolve security-related issues.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Assist in the development of reports and dashboards for monitoring WAF performance and effectiveness.
Contribute to regular security status reports for management.
Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including WAF technology.
Familiarity with security tools and systems.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to quickly assess security situations and make decisions to initiate appropriate actions.
