Description

We are in search of a seasoned Azure System Administrator, proficient in Azure Infrastructure, Windows Server environments and Office 365. This full-time role is essential for the management and optimization of our extensive Azure virtual machine environment, which includes hosting Active Directory. The candidate will be responsible for virtual machines, backups, cost management, and disaster recovery in Azure, as well as ensuring the efficient operation and security of our Windows Server infrastructure. In addition, this candidate will also be working with our development team to transition applications to PaaS, where applicable. • Advanced management and oversight of Azure infrastructure, focusing on virtual machines, network configurations, storage solutions, databases and disaster recovery planning. • In-depth knowledge and management of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, IIS, SQL Server, and OS upgrades. • Administration of Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange and SharePoint. • Project leadership for the deployment and integration of new technology solutions. • Collaboration with internal IT teams, and external stakeholders for strategic IT planning and initiative execution. • Development and implementation of automation processes for system management and enterprise-scale deployments. • Liaison with business partners and vendors to optimize cloud and Windows Server environments, focusing on security, backups, and disaster recovery. • Regular system and software optimization to ensure performance and reliability. • Comprehensive security assessment and improvement for both Microsoft 365 and Azure, along with Windows Server environments. • Efficient troubleshooting and resolution of server, application, cloud, and Windows Server-related issues. • Maintenance of detailed documentation for system configurations and operational procedures. • Participation in cyber hygiene practices, including system and application log reviews. • Advanced tier 3 support for escalated system and application issues. • Participation in an on-call rotation schedule • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Azure Infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server administration, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities. • Comprehensive knowledge of Azure infrastructure components and Windows Server technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, IIS, and SQL Server. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication and documentation skills. • Understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., PCI, GDPR). • Willingness to travel periodically (less than 10% travel expectation)
