Overview
As an AppFabric Platform Services Engineer, you’ll join a team that designs, builds, evolves, and maintains the foundational ecosystem that supports the development of plugins, widgets and web applications at Intuit. Your decisions will have a significant impact directly on Intuit and on the productivity of our engineers. In the coming years, the AppFabric team aims to make the platform more powerful and capable, and will continue to invest in innovation and cutting edge technologies that will have a direct impact on our customers and our engineers across all product teams (QuickBooks, TurboTax, ProTax, Credit Karma, MailChimp and other Intuit Products). And we’d love for you to be part of it. We’re looking for engineers with a strong background in building and owning backend platforms, applications and tools. As a Platform Services Software Engineer, you will work on a specific project that is critical to Intuit. You will be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the platform as we continue to push technology forward. With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will
design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
Responsibilities
● Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
● Designing/developing web, software, mobile apps, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POC’s)
● Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
● Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
● Contribute to the design and architecture of the project
● Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
● Scope & Impact: Responsible for complex features or multiple simple features. Executes proficiently within a generally established architecture through technical solution design and delivery.
● Actively stay abreast of industry best practices, share learnings, and experiment and apply cutting edge technologies.
