Job Description / Requirements / Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in backup administration and support in multi platforms (e.g. Windows, Unix/Linux).
  • Experience in the configuration and administration of Backup solution (e.g. NetBackup, Azure Backup, Networker, Data Domain, Tape Library, NDMP etc.).
  • Experience with technical expertise in configuring and administering data restore, disaster recovery, data backup and recovery for clients and servers.
  • Experience in storage analysis, capacity planning and performance planning of storage components.
  • Perform routine equipment check and preventative maintenance; troubleshoot and fix backup and storage issues.
  • Proficient in backup administration best practices, new technologies and recommend enhancements and configuration changes for backup optimization and improvement.
  • Responsible for regular patching, upgrade and maintenance and ensure compliance to IT security standards.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies and procedures.  
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes, with experience in an ITIL based environment.

Skillset (Must have)

  • Proficient in Veritas Netbackup, Dell Data Domain, AWS, and Azure.
  • Ability to automate backup and restoration.

Skillset (Good to have)
Good communication and project management skills.

Education

Any Graduate
