Job Description / Requirements / Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in backup administration and support in multi platforms (e.g. Windows, Unix/Linux).
- Experience in the configuration and administration of Backup solution (e.g. NetBackup, Azure Backup, Networker, Data Domain, Tape Library, NDMP etc.).
- Experience with technical expertise in configuring and administering data restore, disaster recovery, data backup and recovery for clients and servers.
- Experience in storage analysis, capacity planning and performance planning of storage components.
- Perform routine equipment check and preventative maintenance; troubleshoot and fix backup and storage issues.
- Proficient in backup administration best practices, new technologies and recommend enhancements and configuration changes for backup optimization and improvement.
- Responsible for regular patching, upgrade and maintenance and ensure compliance to IT security standards.
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies and procedures.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes, with experience in an ITIL based environment.
Skillset (Must have)
- Proficient in Veritas Netbackup, Dell Data Domain, AWS, and Azure.
- Ability to automate backup and restoration.
Skillset (Good to have)
Good communication and project management skills.
