Primary Functions:
The BI Developer will be responsible for creating and managing BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. The individual will also play a crucial role in data partitioning, performance tuning of reports, and developing efficient SQL, Views, and Stored Procedures. A key part of the role will also involve the use of Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, Power BI Datasets, and ADF.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools).
- Carry out partitioning of data, and performance tuning of reports.
- Conduct data analysis and write SQL, views, stored procedures, and DAX scripts.
- Understand and translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Familiar with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio Professional 2019.
- Ensure Agile operations and two-week sprints in alignment with the business architecture.
- Acquire understanding of technical terminologies and changes in recent technologies.
- Use Kusto (KQL) for querying and managing data from IOT devices.
- Familiarize with .NET web apps for minor software updates.
- Responsible for creating and optimizing data models; will work in their data warehouse
- Report development (Power BI, they’re moving SSRS reports to Paginated reports)
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years minimum experience using Power BI.
- 2-3 years minimum experience with ADF.
- Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Power Automate.
- Strong SQL knowledge and significant experience with performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure portal and Kusto (KQL).
- Ability to navigate in Visual Studio Professional 2019 efficiently.
- Agile methodology understanding and ability to estimate tasks effectively.
