Description

Primary Functions:

The BI Developer will be responsible for creating and managing BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. The individual will also play a crucial role in data partitioning, performance tuning of reports, and developing efficient SQL, Views, and Stored Procedures. A key part of the role will also involve the use of Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, Power BI Datasets, and ADF.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools).
  2. Carry out partitioning of data, and performance tuning of reports.
  3. Conduct data analysis and write SQL, views, stored procedures, and DAX scripts.
  4. Understand and translate business needs to technical specifications.
  5. Familiar with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio Professional 2019.
  6. Ensure Agile operations and two-week sprints in alignment with the business architecture.
  7. Acquire understanding of technical terminologies and changes in recent technologies.
  8. Use Kusto (KQL) for querying and managing data from IOT devices.
  9. Familiarize with .NET web apps for minor software updates.
  10. Responsible for creating and optimizing data models; will work in their data warehouse
  11. Report development (Power BI, they’re moving SSRS reports to Paginated reports)

Qualifications:

  1. 4-6 years minimum experience using Power BI.
  2. 2-3 years minimum experience with ADF.
  3. Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Power Automate.
  4. Strong SQL knowledge and significant experience with performance tuning.
  5. Experience with Azure portal and Kusto (KQL).
  6. Ability to navigate in Visual Studio Professional 2019 efficiently.
  7. Agile methodology understanding and ability to estimate tasks effectively.
