Senior Cloud Developer

Job Description

We’re bringing a secure, virtual desktop cloud service to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and this is an exciting opportunity for experienced developers to join our DevOps team. We are looking for a Senior Development Engineer for this cloud product in development. As a member of the development team, you will play a key role in helping to implement and integrate the desktop service into OCI. Along with other team members, you will also share responsibility for providing engineering-level maintenance support for this OCI-native desktop service. The key skills required as below:1.  Good command on C, C++ languages2. You must have experience implementing REST APIs and web protocols (HTTPS, WebSockets) and using Terraform. 3. You should also have experience in building and managing containerized applications, e.g., Docker and Kubernetes, as well as some previous experience administering cloud infrastructure environments.eg- OCI, AWS, Azure

4.  Linux system administration, system configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring/alerting systems

5. Unix/Linux Shell and Python scripting

6. The end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioural characteristics of production services

7. Expertise in any of the Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, ODO

8. Experience with cloud or on-premises VDI solutions desirable

9. Windows administration experience desirable but not essential

The successful candidate is likely to hold a degree in a technology related discipline or have equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

Design and develop the cloud product as per the defined roadmap features. 

The key responsibilities include design, develop and test the software programs required in the the overall development cycle of the product. As a key DevOps engineer, you are responsible for the maintenance of the product which includes the bug triaging and resolution too.
