About the Role:

In this opportunity as Sr. Cloud Engineer, you will:

Develope and refine solutions and services for Cloud Landing zones, focusing on AWS landing zones, but also working with other cloud providers and their landing zone services, tools, and solutions. 
Collaborate with technologists across the company to build cloud native applications 
Do scripting for infrastructure continuous build and delivery automation with Python.
Ensure consistency with cloud architectural guiding principles for assigned projects  . 
Keep up to date with emerging cloud technology trends of cloud vendors such as AWS and AZURE. 
Develop and mentor the technical skills of less senior members of the technology teams. 
Be a thought leader and influencer in cloud native development best practices, which includes continuous delivery, security, infrastructure as a code, automation, immutable infrastructure and service discovery. 
Work in a highly collaborative and dynamic matrix agile team environment with multiple levels of technology staff across various geographical locations. 
Apply principles of trust, transparency, accountability and ownership. 
Anticipating needs and implications of decisions, proactively working to identify, clarify, and resolve issues, and removing barriers within and outside the organization in a timely manner. 
Work with PaaS (Platform as a Service) or IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions.


About You:

You're a fit for the role of Sr. Cloud Engineer if your background includes:

Bachelor's degree in related technology program preferred 
Skills with Cloud Landing zones, especially AWS. 
Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure automation tools such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeCommit, Git, CloudFormation 
4+ years of relevant cloud experience including 2 or more of the following: 
Building cloud native applications and services following cloud native architecture methodologies running in the public cloud.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking as well as Cloud Load Balancers, Route53, Security Groups, VPC’s, VPN Gateways, Elastic IP’s, Subnets, Route tables, and NAT configuration 
Knowledge in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Perl or UNIX/Shell 
Comfortable working in Windows and *Nix environments including writing scripts 
Experience deploying and managing RDS, EC2, Lambda, S3. Serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
Knowledge in cloud Monitoring such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail and DataDog 
Understanding of AWS Multi-Account Strategy, Control Tower, and Landing Zone concepts
