Senior Commissioning Engineer

You will be working as Senior Commissioning Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business for Measurement & Analytics division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Local Division Manager and will be responsible for building a deeper knowledge about the rolling mill processes and support our customers in achieving superior quality with minimum environmental impact. As one of our future experts in our global team of commissioning and service engineers, you will play a key role in delivering and propagating the knowledge about our products and solutions in the Indian region and worldwide.

Your responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for providing training of our products both on site and classroom trainings, therefore you will be active building up our global competence in our products and customer applications
  • Responsible for commissioning and service measurement or control application for our products in the Indian Region and worldwide. Most of our assignments are related to flatness measurement and control, but you will also work with dimension and force measurement applications
  • Expecting to travel a minimum of 100-120 days, in other words 50-60% of your working time, in periods of 2-5 weeks
  • Responsible for conducting risk and opportunity assessments before and during your site visits
  • Providing remote technical support when you are not on commissioning or service and participate in our product and process development activities

 

Your background

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, automation engineering
  • Require 10 – 12 years of experience in metal industry
  • Experience of work at site, in commissioning and/or maintenance
  • Previous experience in control (DCS, PLC) or measurement systems in the metals industry, and a good understanding on control methodology is an advantage
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
