Senior Data Analyst/Tableau

Austin, TX (Remote within US)

Description of Work:
An experienced Senior Business and Data Analyst (BA/DA) with expertise in Public Sector and Tableau to assist with conducting a current data and reporting environment assessment to provide improvement recommendations.

• Worker requires expertise in business analysis, data analysis and Tableau Dashboard development work.
• The work involves understanding how to work with business users and IT teams to identify and define requirements for detailed dashboard reports.
• The worker must demonstrate experience in project development and be not only fluent in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts, deliverables and terminology, but also in the Data Management and Reporting Development Life Cycle.
• The resource must have excellent soft skills and be an experienced technical Data Analyst who has proven ability in assessments, business/technical recommendations, analysis and documenting business and IT processes.
• Worker will also be required to develop and manage functional requirements through various SDLC methodologies to implementation and working closely with the business to incorporate new functionalities to enhance and modify their current reports and processes as necessary.
• The worker must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Assist with Tableau report development for the project.
• Assist with documentation for the project reports and other documentation for the data team as needed.
• 8 years-Senior level business, data and report development expertise with Tableau.
• 8 years-Previous experience conducting assessments of current client data and reporting dashboards to define needs, processes and data related to financial dashboarding to develop recommendations to achieve desired improvements in analytics.
• 8 years-Previous experience presenting assessment results and defining improvement alternatives, collaborating with executives for decisions and developing implementation roadmaps and plans based on decisions.
• 8 years-Previous experience working as a Data Analyst liaison between Information Technology (IT) staff and the business stakeholders to incorporate data requirements on the business, business processes and IT systems to develop and deliver dashboards and reports.
• 8 years-Work as a Data analyst (DA) that has written business and data requirements based on business stakeholder sessions, High-Level System Architecture Designs, System Requirements, System Designs, System Implementations and System Tests.
• 5 years-Previous experience using Business/Data Analysis expertise in facilitating day-to-day activities to produce reporting deliverables needed from the stakeholder/customer teams.
• 5 years-Experience creating and providing status reports, options and feedback to upper management and C Level stakeholders.
• 5 years-Experience with assisting an organization in establishing, documenting and integrating reporting system policies, processes, procedures and requirements to develop data dashboards and reports for internal and public consumption.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Prefer Previous experience in Public Sector incorporating Tableau Business, Data and Reporting solutions
• Tableau Certified Preferred
