Senior Data Engineer

Job description:

Responsible for understanding, preparing, processing, and analyzing data to make data valuable and useful for operations decision support. Accountabilities in this role Partners with Business Analysis and Analytics teams. Demonstrates problem-solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues, including but not limited to production outages. Develops and supports o Standard processes to harvest data form various sources and perform data blending to develop advanced data sets and analytical cubes and data exploration. Queries, data exploration and transformation, basic statistical methods. Python scripts to databases.  Focuses on database work with a blend of strong technical and communication skills. Demonstrates ability to learn and navigate in large complex environments. 

These roles are going to be building out data pipelines specifically for EMR data.

• Airflow for data pipelines 
• Structured Data 
• EMR experience (STRONG preference) --Ryan will take candidates with this experience over candidates who don't have it 
• Pharma or Healthcare experience +
• Looker + 

Skills Experience: 

• Largest part of the role will be spent doing data mapping (onboarding new technology partners that Cardinal Health is working with, Produce Data models, document and understand how data pipelines will work)
• Experience building out data pipelines and data models 
• Experience working in Google cloud infrastructure and different access points with practices bringing data in 
• Work with cloud native technologies
• HDE (Healthcare data engine) or Firestore 
• Experience working with structured data and pipelined development
