Senior Data Scientist

Job Description
• 5+ years’ experience in Data Science, including hands on and theoretical knowledge of standard machine learning algorithms.
o NLP: Text vectorization, word vectors, classification, entity recognition
o Computer Vision
o Time Series: AR, ARX, ARIMA
• 2+ years’ experience with Python. Must be a proficient general-purpose programmer with a solid grasp of OOP as well as Data Science tools and libraries.
o Experience with Pandas, Sci-Kit Learn, Keras, Spacy, Tensorflow
• Experience with models as a service, event-driven systems, and service-oriented architectures.
• 1+ years’ experience with cloud infrastructure and development.
o Experience with one of Azure, AWS, or Google cloud (GCP).
o Able to evaluate multiple architectures and make recommendations to the client.
• Experience with architecting and presenting solutions.
o Architecture diagrams
o Writing proposals and requirement documents
o Cost vs performance analysis and recommendation
• 3+ years’ experience with SQL. Must have at least intermediate SQL skills and be able to optimize queries.
o Columnar storage databases
o Horizontally scalable DB’s
o Data lake and data warehousing
The following are not required but would be considered a plus:
• Experience with Big Data, Hadoop, HIVE/HQL, HDFS, Spark/PySpark, Kafka
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Databricks, Azure Synapse
