Job Summary: 
7-10+ years experience as DB2 SQL developer with a strong focus on writing stored procedures.
Demonstrable experience with analyzing and optimizing complex stored procedures.
Extensive experience with database performance tuning including stored procedures. 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 
Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 UDB and technical database concepts, such as: logical relational data


Roles & Responsibilities: The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for providing operational and development support to the organization. Responsibilities including meeting with application project teams to consult on the development of projects, reorganizing database when needed, monitoring and analyzing database performance and usage patterns, and evaluate tools and software. This individual will be looked at to assess and make recommendations for selecting new tools or software and they will lead the development and documentation of standards for the use, control, updating and maintenance of a database. It is essential that the DBA have experience across backup and recovery, performance monitoring, tuning and storage management so that they can assist with developing data processes, optimize performance and troubleshoot and resolve any database issues. This DBA will attend meetings with project teams and will own basic database administration activities.
